The Bitter Old Man

There sat the bitter old man by the porch,
Lonesome as how his life has always been,
Never a moment of happiness has he seen,
Neglecting the meaning that's meant to be.

The bitter old man stared into the sky,
Wondering how slow time passes him by,
The clock ticks but the sun never changed,
And the bitter old man looked away in pain.

Oh bitter old man hear my prayers,
Its never too late to change ye ways,
As sun still shines before dusks,
And pain is to teach the lesson of life.

The laughter of children he now enjoys,
Celebrating life with those he knows,
A moment no longer wasted, non of despair,
The wrinkle shows with the smile that he shares.

Dearest old man he is now,
Laying there still beneath the ground,
I furnish your tomb with these natural jewels,
As colorful as your life, the way it was lived...
