Good morning... or evening to all... where ever you are. Seems like it was yesterday that I took my finals, and now the exam fever is back again. This coming Wednesday, I will be sitting for my first paper in the study course of my Masters Degree, and man oh man the headache....
So what in the world am I doing here writing this blog when I should be studying you ask? Decided to take some time off, and recuperate so that I would be fully prepared to enter the battlefield actually. Tiresome. If only I had my primary school youth with me right now. (Makes me sound old right? Nak buat macam mana? Already in my late twenties. =P)
Talking about exams, I remember an incident during my preparation course in Intec which I could never forget till today. It all started on the day, I was to sit for my M3 A Levels paper (which is actually an abbreviation for Mechanics Paper 3), filled with confidence and the so called 'knowledge' I got ready and had myself a good minute to calm down and with a sheer believe of success that's lying just around the corner, I brought myself down to a friends car and we rushed to the Section 17 campus. As usual, my friend made the rule of the campus oblivious to him and the rest of us (there were 5 of us in the car) of course, by simply speeding through the campus ground and parked somewhere inside although it's actually forbidden to do so. (alah mak guard bukan buat apa-apa pun)
Checked my watch and it was 15 minutes to the M3 paper and so I rushed to the examination room. By the time I got there, the exam was just about to start and the comfort and confidence was nothing but at its peak. That was of course before I got the exam paper and starting to browse through it. I was half way thorugh the paper (which is of course 3/4 of the total exam time) when I realised I did something stupid at the beginning of the paper, and to my horror, the examinations-surpivising Prof announced that we only had a couple of minutes left. Scribble here, scribble there and before I knew it time was up.
Buckets of sweat was sticking the T-Shirt I was wearing to my body like the Elephant Super Glue to the broken vase of a neighbour whose naughty children can never sit still in the house. Handing in my paper with a big sigh on the way out of the exam room was never of any comfort. As I was making my down to my friends car, a mate pat me on the side and quoting his disbelief, 'Mooney, kau marah giler kat paper tu ke sampai gigit bibir berdarah?'. I looked at him and touched my lips. Great, red liquid. Never have I realised for a second that examinations are so tense that you can just bite down on your lips and leave it bleeding without even feeling pain. And so I know.
Though it might be not that great of a success for all, I passed my M3 paper and learned an important lesson all at the same time. Bring a chewing gum the next time I'm taking an exam... =P
cheerios peeps.
p.s. Good luck to all taking their finals...

Will this be your last examined paper all your life? Somewhat I miss doing it again, now that I'm not obliged to score any paper. Ah! I enjoy the feeling of intense scribbling on the papers, with great hope to pass them! :)
not really jess. this would be the paper for my 1st term as a masters student. hopefully after masters, there wouldn't be that much stress again. :P
