The difference you and I...

The difference you and I,
We speak different languages,
We have different ideas,
We have different principles.

The difference you and I,
Our culture,
Our traditions,
Our food.

The difference you and I,
Are our status in this world,
Some are born rich,
And some are born poor.

The difference you and I,
Are the colour of our skin,
I might be brown,
And you might be another.

But if I were to say hello,
Wouldn't you say Hi back?
Our cultures might be different,
But don't you enjoy our traditions just the same?

If we were taken away of all our riches,
Wouldn't we all be on a plain level?
And if we were to bleed,
Isn't the colour of our blood still red?

If these are the difference between you and I,
We are not so different at all,
And yet we differentiate one another,
When in the end what really matters,
Is how'd we've lived and how will we be remembered...
