3 pots of rice (preferably Basmati) - cooked sperately
For marinating
250 grams of chicken
3 tablespoons of garam masala
3 tablespoons of plain yoghurt
Frying ingredients
3 tablespoons of frying oil
1 large onion (diced)
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon of tumeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder
some cloves
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder (optional)
2 cups water
3 table spoon of tomato puree
100 grams of mixed vege (corn and green peas)
salt and sugar for taste
Instructions
1. Heat the oil with medium heat in a medium size pot.
2. Fry the frying ingredients (inclusive the powder) until onion is golden.
3. Add a little water to avoid the ingredients from burning.
4. Add the chicken and all its marinated sauce.
5. Stir fry in medium heat until chicken is half cooked.
6. Add the tomato puree, the rest of the water and mixed vege.
7. Let the chicken cook while the sauce thickens.
8. Add sugar and salt to taste.
9. Once done, add the already cooked rice into the pot and stir together until well mixed
10. Once done, it can be served with cashew nuts and fried shallots@bawang goreng
