In the Eyes of God

In the eyes of God are we,
A creature of pity and passion,
Seek we not His everlasting grace,
Though fragile we are in His sight

Smoke quivers in the air,
Brilliant colors entertaining their dance,
While music enticing the rhythm,
As we stare with glee at the empty bottles

Naked are some though they are clothed,
Shifting their legs to the bass,
Lost in a translation of life they created,
As passionate we are to life

Pity we not on the unwell?
The haves and have nots?
Brilliant we are to the sight of some,
But how do we look in the sight of God?

Indeed we are creatures of passion and pity,
Mercy have we in what we see,
But in a world of deceit and filled with lies,
Sight we have and yet we are blind...
