A mother's prayers... (a tribute to mothers on mother's day)

"A man came to the Prophet and said: O Messenger of Allah! Who from amongst mankind warrants the best companionship from me? He replied: “Your mother.” The man asked: Then who? So he replied: “Your mother.” The man then asked: Then who? So the Prophet replied again: “Your mother.” The man then asked: Then who? So he replied: “Then your father.” (Sahîh Bukhârî 5971 and Sahîh Muslim 7/2)"

Peace be upon my beloved readers... I am so sorry for the long needed update of this blog. Been very much occupied with job seeking, 'nanny'ing and a few other errands that's been keeping me away from updating my blog.

This special entry, I'd like to tribute to beloved mothers around the world, of course a special tribute to my own mother Puan Hashimah Abd Karim =), in accordance to mother's day celebration. To point out that I am a mama's boy, for having written so many articles about mothers, I wouldn't actually be offended. To quote her, 'A mother can look after so many children, but how many children can really look after one mother?'

I'm reminded of an experience I had in Germany while traveling with a friend where a middle-aged mother was looking after her two small daughters in a train headed to Hamburg. She proposed to traveling with my friend and I as to save cost on the train ticket. Her daughters was around 4 years and 1 year of age. Even though the journey was quite tiring and to tend to the active-conduct of the two daughters which of course doesn't help the least bit, she still managed to smile and lovingly care for them throughout the journey. Little that she expect the kindness or sympathy of others to manage her two kids. I can only imagine how much sacrifice have all the mother's around the world made to the children. For that dear mothers, I can't thank you enough.

My mom always tells me that miracles do happen especially through mothers' prayers for their children. I won't say that it isn't true for I myself, (thank the Almighty of course)have experienced quite a few throughout my life. During my exams, my many hardships and even during my heartbreaks, she's been praying for my success and well being and with His blessings, miracles did happened. Sometimes I wonder how much tears had fallen from her eyes for me during the prayers? Mummy, I thank you so much for being my light in my darkest hours and I want to tell you here, how much I love you.

Beloved readers, I beg all of you after you've done reading this entry, seek your mom, hug her and tell her how much you love her. Make time for your mothers as how she made time for you while you were young and from time to time, give them a kiss and show some appreciation towards her kindness. It doesn't take the world for one to do that but it will mean the world to them. One or two little sacrifices are all they ask for.

Before I end this entry, once again I'd like to wish to mothers all around the world, Happy Mother's Day and thank you so much for everything you've done for us. We all are... because you've been... =)
